History

Generations of experience.

Founded in 1985 by first generation auctioneer Bill Wilson, William Wilson Auction Realty is a result of a vision to create an independent auction firm built upon hard work, integrity, and reliability.

The company’s mission was developed to carry out the vision set forth by Bill in those early days: “The number one concern of William Wilson Auction-Realty, Inc. is to meet the objectives of every client for whom we have the opportunity to serve, while maintaining the highest possible ethical standards and reputation.”

From humble beginnings in the back of Joseph Wilson’s furniture store in downtown New Harmony to the current 10-acre auction headquarters which features 12,000+ square feet of climate controlled auction space; the company has seen many growth spurts over 25 years of service.

Wilson has become one of the regions leaders in real estate auction and fundraising auction consulting; as well as appraisal and the marketing of personal property of all types.

Now in the company’s third decade, Wilson is a household name when it comes to Auction in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky. The company conducts hundreds of auctions each year across many counties; has offices in multiple cities; and, yet, still remains true to the spirit of superior service upon which it was founded.

Aaron and Andrew Wilson have now joined the family firm as second generation Auctioneers of William Wilson Auction-Realty. Both embody, along with company founder Bill Wilson, the spirit of Auction and the progressing profession of Auctioneer’s.

There is now a New Generation of Auction, and it starts with Wilson.

Diana L. Mathews

Diana has been a member of the William Wilson Auction & Realty team since 1988, serving as auction clerk, cashier, and office manager. Diana also holds an Indiana Real Estate Salesperson license, assisting clients with buying and selling real estate; as well as managing and coordinating the many real estate transactions conducted by the firm.

Tammi J. Pfister

Tammi joined William Wilson Auction Realty in 2004 as an auction clerk, cashier, and administrative assistant. Tammi holds an Indiana Real Estate Salesperson license, assisting clients with buying and selling real estate; as well as assisting with the many real estate transactions conducted by the firm.
